“We want to revolutionise the serviced office space.”
The words of Liam Etheridge, 20, whose team has taken over an entire floor of Telephone House in Bournemouth with an aim to provide flexible office and studio space for local professionals.
That includes 22 furnished and serviced offices – from single, private spaces to nine-man rooms – as well as a podcast studio, green screen room, rooftop terrace and breakout areas.
It’s all available to rent on a short-term, contract-free basis, seven days a week.
“Our audience is mainly small businesses and entrepreneurs who are looking to grow their business without committing to a specific office size”, said Liam, Director of YourSpace.
“We wanted to make it as simple as possible for them to come in here, starting with a small budget, and work from an office space where they feel comfortable.
“The minimum contract for most places around Bournemouth is six months. We don’t want to tie businesses down like that.
“With us, people only have to pay when their bum’s actually on the seat.”
YourSpace officially launched on the 23rd September after months of reconfiguration works.
A few weeks later and the team have already received a lot of positive feedback from creatives on a budget.
“It would usually cost hundreds to rent out a podcast or video studio for a day, but we know how important they are for online businesses”, said Liam.
“So we only charge around £150 for a day for people to use the space.”
That’s exclusive to YourSpace members, who can also enjoy discounts on goods and services at several local Bournemouth businesses.
“There’s also plenty of natural light, which people are appreciating – it’s a big thing that I didn’t even think about.”
Liam’s own business journey started off at the age of 18, when he made the switch from tree surgery into sales with Lead Forensics.
Now 20, he’s realising his dreams at the head of this new venture, with big ambitions for the future.
“It’s exciting. I knew I always wanted to work for myself and help other businesses grow, so it’s perfect.
“We’ve got the third floor in Telephone House at the minute, but the plan is to fill this space up and venture on to different offices in Bournemouth.”
